The short version

Your messages live on your device, encrypted, and never touch our servers. We can't read them because we never receive them. The only personal data we hold is what you give us directly — like your email address if you join the waitlist.

1. Who we are

1nbox is operated by Fastidious LLP ("we", "us", "our"), a limited liability partnership registered in England & Wales, with its registered office at 10–11 Great Russell Street, London, WC1B 3NH. For the purposes of UK GDPR, Fastidious LLP is the data controller for the limited personal data described in this policy.

2. Our core privacy principle

1nbox is a unified messaging app. It brings conversations from services like Telegram, Slack, Discord and email into a single inbox on your device.

The defining feature of 1nbox is that your message content never reaches our servers. When you connect a messaging account, your device communicates directly with that platform's servers. Messages are stored locally on your device in an encrypted database. We have no technical ability to read, store, or access the content of your conversations.

4. How we use your data

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for behavioural advertising. 1nbox products are ad-free.

5. Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)

We process your waitlist email on the basis of your consent, which you give by submitting the form and confirming your address. We process technical logs and anti-abuse data on the basis of our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure. You can withdraw consent at any time (see your rights below).

When you connect a messaging platform (e.g. Telegram) inside the app, your use of that platform remains governed by that platform's own privacy policy — your device talks to them directly, not through us.

7. Where your data is stored

Message data stays on your device. The limited personal data we do hold (waitlist details) is stored on servers located in the United Kingdom / European Union.

8. How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist email until you ask us to delete it or unsubscribe, or until we determine it is no longer needed. Server access logs are retained for a short period and then deleted or anonymised.

9. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email legal@1nbox.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

10. Children

1nbox is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "last updated" date above, and for material changes we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you.
